In preparation for the Metamorphosis Chamber show, I’m creating a small work on vellum, Exploding Metamorphosis. I’m documenting my process. here is the image I start with, a photoshop composite of images relating to the black Metamorphosis drawing.

The image is printed on vellum, using acetone to transfer the toner in the image. The original and the impression in the image below, will be enhanced with acrylics.

And here it is again, waiting to be worked on some more.

The drawing, not all of mankind.
I’ve working on a series of 10 large white drawings since 2005. I’ve been thinking a lot these days about what we are doing as a species, to ourselves, to each other, and to our world. Daunting stuff I know, but I can’t help it!
Here is a pic of the finished work, which I started as performance at the Roxbury Open Studios in October 06. The piece is approximately 52 inches x 78 inches, on white paper. It will also exhibit at Gallery 181 in Lawrence in June, for a show titled: The Common Denominator.
you can see this image and more on my online portfolio. www.terracottawarriors.xbuild.com
